I feel like I haven't done one of these in a while but we're easing our way back, don't you worry. As you may or may not know one of my best friends got me on Rupaul's Drag Race (I mean on watching it) and I've been really inspired by the queens' makeup so I figured I'd start a fun series inspired by the queens. Now I'm only going to be doing my favorite queens from each season. If you don't see your favorite queen and want me to do a look let me know. I'm going to start chronologically by season and today's look is inspired by Katya. Katya is aloof and funny and has a lot of heart, which is ultimately what I found captivating about her. Plus I gotta support my fellow Russian girl.
Enough blabbering, tutorial time!
Products used:I applied Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain in Cherry as a base for Makeup Forever Blush Powder in No. 9 applied with my Sephora Collection Pro Mini Airbrush 55.5. I also applied Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Monster as a base for the Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter in Crystal Pink to the high planes of my face with my Sephora Collection Pro Contour Brush #74.
As a base for my powder eyeshadows I applied the NARS Velvet Shadow Stick in Hollywoodland and blended it out with my Bubbi Dual Cover Brush. To map out and cut the crease I applied OCC Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Sybil and blended that out using my Sigma E30 Pencil Brush.
For the crease I applied Violet Voss Transition along with Violet Voss Teddy Bear with my Sigma E40 Tapered Blending brush and Sigma E25 Blending Brush, respectively.
For the lid I applied Violet Voss Chill using my Bubbi Shader brush.
To highlight the brow-bone and the inner corner of the eye I applied Violet Voss Crystal using my Bubbi Contour Eye Brush and Sigma E30 Pencil Brush, respectively.
For eyeliner, I went with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. For the waterline I applied Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil in Illuminate.
For the lower lashline, I applied Violet Voss Transition and Teddy Bear using my Bubbi Detail Brush.
This is the look with mascara on sans false lashes.... which I forgot to take a photo of. :/
For lips, I applied The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex Mango Seed Lip Care 01 Pomegranate and topped it off with Tattoo Junkee Lip Paint in Skinny Dip.
