Stocking up on Travel Essentials

Next week i am staying in London for a few days which is super exciting as i haven't been there in ages but it also means that i actually need to get prepared and get everything i need for the trip. I am the least organised person ever and i leave everything until the last minute but this time i have committed myself to being organised as i actually have to work on the days leading up to the trip.

My Birthday has only just happened and Christmas wasn't too long ago and when i get miniatures in a present i like to keep them just in case i end up going away, just so i have something to take with me. So some of these products have been saved from Christmas sets but all of them are available individually all year round. I wanted to make a handy list for you (and me) so that when you go away there is a point of reference for what you need, so here it goes...

1. Eylure Individual Lashes - Lets start with a product which isn't essential, if you don't wear or like lashes then feel free to skip this but if you are a lash wearer it is important to stock up because it is always nice to feel good about yourself when in a new city but also you don't want to take a half used box and realise that you have run out of the medium lashes (the only useful ones) or that your glue has dried up.

2. A Slim Eyeshadow Palette - L'Oreal La Nude Palette. The L'Oreal palette is perfect for travelling, it is slim and light. It has 12 different shades in it which will take you from day to night and a good range of shimmer and matte shades. If you need to you could even use some of the matte shadows for your brows, i wouldn't advice it as the matte shades aren't amazing but desperate times call for desperate measures.

3. Your Trusty Lipstick - You could be brave and go for a shade which is completely different from what you usually wear but it is nice to have something you know and if you need that little confidence boost then your favourite lipstick might help with this. The one i always go to is the L'Oreal Collection Privee Lisptick in J Lo's Nude or MAC Peach Blossom, both shades are nude and allow my eyes to take the stage.

4. A Travel Friendly Brush - There is nothing worse than your brush being destroyed by everything else in your bag and also your hair from the brush going all over your clothes so when i saw the Compact Styler Tangle Teezer i knew it would be perfect for this trip and more generally my hand bag. This one was customised by Lulu Gunniess so it has a cute pattern on it. Tangle Teezers are my favourite brushes so i thought this was an amazing idea.

5. Mini Shower Products - I bought a Toni & Guy Shampoo and conditioner because i wanted to try them out anyway so this seemed like a good chance to be able to. They were more expensive than your average miniature but you have to allow yourself some form of luxury. At Christmas in the Boots Sale i bought a little Soap and Glory set for £5 and it has the mini Clean on Me Shower Gel and  a mini The Righteous Butter so i saved them and they will be perfect to take with me.

6. Venus Mini Razor - That isn't the proper name for it but i can't remember the proper name. It is a mini razor though and it has a little case. I am so glad that these have become available because it is such a great idea. Previously  i have taken a normal razor with me and just put it in my make-up bag but not only is this dangerous but sometimes this also causes them to break. Not only is this safer but it also allows the razor to dry so that it doesn't get your bag wet. Well Done Venus, what a great idea.

7. Sunglasses - Believe it or not but i didn't have sunglasses up until a few days ago. My old sunglasses shattered last summer and i haven't found the need to buy a new pair but now that England has had a bit of sun i needed to buy some and i will take them to London with me just in case the sun decides to shine once again. My sunglasses are from River Island and they were £10.

8. Miniature or Sample Perfume - A few ago my mum bought a Dior Perfume and i was given some samples of Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet which i already knew i liked but they are prefect for taking with me for these few days i always wear perfume and these will take up a lot less room in may bag.

Those were a few items that are essential to travelling which i needed to get this week or that i have left lying around for a few months preparing for this moment. This is not a full list of everything you need but just a few essentials that you might not think of.
